He collaborates extensively with organizations at the European, national, and regional levels (DG REGIO, DG RESEARCH, MRD, MIT, MEYS, CzechInvest, JIC and others). He served on the National Management Board for Smart Specialisation in Czechia and was a member of the Expert Group for the RIS3 strategy for the 2021–2027 period nominated by the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Michal Lorenc

Czech National Semiconductor Cluster, onsemi

Michal has over 30 years of experience in semiconductor research, development, and manufacturing. At Masaryk University, he focused on porous silicon, silicon-germanium alloys, and vibrational spectroscopy. Since 2000, he has worked at onsemi in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, leading numerous R&D projects, including silicon crystal growth, silicon-on-insulator, gallium nitride, and silicon carbide wafer technology. Since 2023, he has been a member of the CZ/SK section of The International Microelectronics and Packaging Society and Vice-President of the Czech National Semiconductor Cluster, a key expert authority for the National Semiconductor Strategy and international semiconductor relationships within the Silicon Europe Alliance and with partners in Taiwan and the USA.

Jan Kobliha

Ministry of Industry and Trade

Jan is Director of the Sectoral Expertise and Industrial Policy Department at the Ministry of Industry and Trade and an experienced leader in industrial policy and digital transformation. With over a decade of experience, he has led national initiatives in technology and innovation, coordinating with the European Commission on projects such as the National Action Plan on Clean Mobility and the National Semiconductor Strategy. At the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU, he coordinated the Competitiveness Council with a focus on the European Chips Act and international Digital Partnerships. Earlier roles include National Expert at the European Commission and Export Consultant at CzechTrade, including a leadership stint in Morocco.

Marco Ceccarelli

European Commission

Marco is Programme Officer for Microelectronics and Photonics Industry at the European Commission, where he contributes to shaping EU industrial policies and strategies in semiconductors. Following his direct involvement in the drafting and negotiation of the European Chips Act, he now plays a key role in its implementation, focusing on research and innovation, chip design, manufacturing, and financing instruments for innovative ventures. Before joining the Commission in 2017, he held managerial roles at Philips (NL) and executive positions in high-tech SMEs. He holds a Dr.Ing. Testimonials

Czech Semicon Days are an exceptional opportunity for Czech companies, research organisations, innovation centres, and regional stakeholders to deepen collaboration across the full semiconductor ecosystem. As the Czech National Semiconductor Cluster, we contribute in an expert capacity—helping to identify competencies, build new links between industry, academia and public authorities, and strengthen international cooperation, including the CZ–TW format (Supplier Day) and other European partnerships. CzechInvest deserves clear recognition for launching this platform in 2025 and significantly expanding it for 2026. Czech Semicon Days demonstrate that Czechia is ready to turn its semiconductor potential into tangible projects and investments.

Michal LorencVice President for Industry, Czech National Semiconductor Cluster; R&D Program Manager, onsemi

University environment tought me to work with demanding but reliable partners. Collaborating with CzechInvest state agency on Czech Semicon Days gave firsthand insight into effective communication between public sector and the business community. CzechInvest is our key partner in preparing and sharing analyses and recommendations focused on semiconductor supply chains.

David Emler, PhD.Vice-Dean for Development at Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, Director of Supply Chain Resilience Center (SCRC)

The 2025 Czech Semicon Days proved that Czechia isn't just a participant in the European semiconductor industry - it's a core driver. From the insights on the National Semiconductor Strategy to the high-level networking at the Fanta Building, this event is essential for anyone looking to navigate the geopolitical shifts of the chip market.

Pavel FreundlichSVP R&D Semiconductors, Vishay Intertechnology

This year's Czech Semicon Days 2026 will shift its focus from the semiconductor supply chain to the "Future Mobility" industrial upgrading framework. This shift stems from repeated discussions between Taiwan and the Czech Republic, which emphasized that we should move beyond chip manufacturing or the supply chain itself and consider broader industrial issues, exploring how to truly integrate end products, electronic systems, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and R&D capabilities.
